GLOBAL MISSION
New St. Paul Tabernacle Church Of God In Christ has a long history of support for global outreach. The pastor, Bishop P.A. Brooks, believes it is vitally important to carry out the Great Commission of Jesus Christ throughout the world. For decades, New St. Paul Tabernacle has been dedicated to this work.
In 1995, Bishop Brooks, along with the late Presiding Bishop J.O. Patterson and others, lead a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. They toured all over Israel and while they were there, Bishop Brooks baptized 57 people in the River Jordan.
In 2015 Bishop Brooks went on a second pilgrimage to the Holy Land. As part of his duties as First Assistant Presiding Bishop, COGIC, Inc., Bishop Brooks was assigned by Presiding Bishop Charles E. Blake to oversee the induction of five Ethiopian-Jewish Pentecostal Churches. This historic event marked the first time in 1,000 years that a denomination other than Judaism or Catholicism has been established in Israel. The Church Of God In Christ is now the first Full-Gospel church ever to exist in Israel.
Also in 2015, Bishop Brooks was given an award from UNICEF in recognition of his fundraising efforts in the fight against the spread of Ebola in Africa. Since that time, UNICEF has partnered with New St. Paul Tabernacle to reach out locally and nationally in support of global causes. Bishop Brooks is looking for individuals and organizations who would like to partner with us in this effort.
